Norm Beers
Co-FounderNorm Beers is a highly experienced consultant, facilitator and coach. He has been assisting businesses all over the world for over three decades to build trusting, productive relationships with their clients and to create a culture in which employees strive to fulfill their full potential as contributors. Norm has provided executive coaching to senior business leaders, led a wide variety of skill-building seminars, facilitated workshops on maximizing success in complex sales, and designed and led strategy and leadership programs for clients in various industries.
Prior to co-founding Lumiere, Norm was a senior associate in two other consulting firms, and served as a manager with a major Canadian retailer and an international, non-profit organization. Norm earned degrees from both the University of Waterloo (Canada) and University of Nottingham (UK).
Susan Schaeffer
Co-FounderOver the past 20 years, Susan Schaeffer has been consulting and coaching individuals and teams, primarily in the areas of vision and strategy, business development, and leadership. Challenges that she has frequently addressed include assertiveness in business development, overcoming specific obstacles in the sales process, dealing with difficult relationships, creating cohesion and alignment within a management team, developing leadership capabilities and selecting the right people for the right role. In addition, Susan has coached many senior women on the challenge of being a woman in the workplace.
Prior to becoming a management consultant, Susan had 12 years of experience in Mergers and Acquisitions, identifying, initiating and executing cross-border opportunities in North America, Latin America and Europe for Chase Manhattan Bank. Before her banking experience, Susan served as a Finance Officer in Latin America for Agency for International Development (USAID). She holds an MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird), and a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin.
